Galaxy Tab S7+

Although I own a MacBook Pro and use one for my work as well, I have never ventured into the iPad arena, partially because for my telephone I’ve always been using Android telephones. Privately I own a Galaxy Note S10+ which is my daily driver for mobile devices. I specifically chose this mobile phone because I was travelling extensively and the extra screen estate is appreciated. (I like the pen for doodling and sometimes use it when it makes sense. I also own an iPhone 7 which is my work phone, but that is primarily used for calls and messaging.

The tablet I currently own is a Galaxy Tab S7+ which is a beast of a tablet. I was in doubt whether to buy one of the bigger apple tablets, but decided against it. Prise wise the S7+ seemed more value for money taking into account that I own a lot of software already for the Android environment. The plus is that it comes with a pen and when I bought the tablet I could buy the keyboard against an acceptable price.

Daily usage

I tend to use the tablet a lot for consumption of media, whether this is reading the newspaper in the morning, twitter and watching some Netflix. It basically excels in this.

I have my work mail and slack on it as well in a separate environment and use the tablet for reacting to emails and answering slack messages. With the keyboard attached to it, it basically is a decent laptop like device, and the keyboard is more then adequate for this kind of use case.

I never use Dex as I don’t see the advantage of it compared to the normal tablet like functionality. I played around with it for a while but basically if I need to do some heavy lifting I revert back to using my MacBook Pro.
